About GTalkabout

GTalkabout from FengChuan is a code-reading and team-discussion tool. When you use GTalkabout to read your own, your team's or online open-source code, you can mark up variables, functions, classes or any section of code with a record that includes text or pictures. All these records can be stored in a local database or sent to your team.

It integrates version control, code footnotes and code discussion into one client:

  • Use the Repository Navigate bar to control a Subversion repository, remote or local.
  • Version-control your local project with a local Subversion repository, without a Subversion server.
  • Footnote the code and generate messages stored in the local MessageDB. If XMPP is configured, the messages can be sent to the team or to the buddy who developed the code with you.
  • Messages may include pictures to footnote or discuss the code.
  • The local MessageDB stores the messages, which can be filtered and displayed with rich conditions.
