About TorniaiSansUT Typeface RegularItalic PC (archived)

TorniaiSansUT Regular Italic was the italic companion to the Regular weight of the Torniai Sans type family, a sans-serif typeface sold by Unifonts (also known as Unitype), a small font vendor run by Victor de Castro from Monroe, New York.

This page covers the Regular Italic style for Windows (PC), sold as a single font. In body text, the regular italic does the quiet work of emphasis: book and film titles, foreign words, quotations, captions and the occasional stressed word – standing out from the upright text without shouting the way bold does.

Torniai Sans came in five weights – Light, Regular, Bold, Heavy and Black – each with an italic, plus family packs, Mac editions and an old-style figures version (TorniaiSansOsfUT).

Unifonts' website is no longer online, so this font can no longer be licensed. This page is kept as a historical record.
