About TorniaiSansUT Typeface BoldItalic PC (archived)

TorniaiSansUT Bold Italic was the slanted companion to the Bold weight of the Torniai Sans type family, a sans-serif typeface sold by Unifonts (also known as Unitype), a small font vendor run by Victor de Castro from Monroe, New York.

This page covers the Bold Italic style for Windows (PC), sold as a single font. It combines the weight of bold with the movement of italic – useful for emphasis inside bold headings, highlighted terms in captions, quotes in magazine layouts and lively subheads.

Torniai Sans came in five weights – Light, Regular, Bold, Heavy and Black – each with an italic, plus family packs, Mac editions and an old-style figures version (TorniaiSansOsfUT).

Unifonts' website is no longer online, so this font can no longer be licensed. This page is kept as a historical record.
