About TorniaiSansOsfUT Typeface Black Mac (archived)

TorniaiSansOsfUT Black for Mac was the heaviest old-style figures weight of Torniai Sans, sold by Unifonts (also known as Unitype), a small font vendor run by Victor de Castro from Monroe, New York.

This page covers the Black style for Macintosh, sold as a single font. On the Mac it served covers, posters and section dividers where a heavy headline or large number needed presence, yet the figures kept the softer, traditional rhythm of old-style numerals.

The Osf family included Light, Regular, Bold and Black with italics, sold for Mac and Windows; TorniaiSansUT offered lining figures instead.

Unifonts' website is no longer online, so this font can no longer be licensed. This page is kept as a historical record.
