ThunderSoft Slideshow Factory – known in earlier versions as AlbumMe and AlbumMe Deluxe – is a Windows program for turning photos and video clips into slideshows without any knowledge of Flash or HTML.
How it works. You add your pictures (albums of more than 500 images are supported), pick one of over 70 animated templates, and choose from over 70 transition effects. You can add captions, clip art, background music in WAV, MP3 or WMA format, and even sound effects for individual slides, then build a thumbnail index page for the whole album.
Many ways to publish. Slideshows can be saved as an HTML5 video for websites, a regular video file (MP4, AVI, WMV, MKV, MOV, FLV and more, including HD) for YouTube or mobile devices, a stand-alone EXE, a Windows screensaver, or the classic Flash/HTML output. The program can also add animated effects to single images, for example web banners.
From AlbumMe to Slideshow Factory. AlbumMe was ThunderSoft's original Flash slideshow maker. As browsers moved away from Flash, the product was renamed Slideshow Factory and gained HTML5 and video output. The latest version listed is 5.9.2 (January 2023); it runs on Windows XP through Windows 11 and costs $39.95, with a 30-day trial that adds a watermark.
