The Lost World

The Lost World is the first of Conan Doyle's novels to feature Professor Challenger. Set in the jungles of South America it is a story not only about the prehistoric animals that roam the lands, but more importantly to the story are the natives the occupy the plateaus and caves so vividly described in the novel.
