In a warm, professional tone of voice, you refer to a recent conversation about the position, reaffirm your eagerness to join the organization and your anticipation of the forthcoming interview. The letter includes a sentence indicating an attached resume; this can be deleted without affecting the letters flow. It offers alternative words and phrases from which you may choose to customize your letter to suit a specific type of organization and its attributes. It can be used equally well as an e-mailed note.
