About Internet Download Accelerator PRO

Internet Download Accelerator (IDA) is a download manager for Windows from WestByte Software. It speeds up downloads over HTTP, HTTPS and FTP by splitting each file into several sections that are downloaded at the same time, resumes broken downloads, and keeps your downloaded files organized.

Main features. IDA sorts downloads into categories automatically by file type, can schedule downloads, searches for mirror servers when a source is slow, and can scan finished files with your installed antivirus. Browser extensions for Chrome and other browsers add "Download with IDA" and "Download all links" commands to the right-click menu, and a floating drop target lets you drag links straight into the program.

Editions. The basic version is free for non-commercial use and shows advertisements in its interface. The PRO version removes the ads, unlocks the functions that are disabled in the free edition and is required for commercial use. The current version is 7.3 and runs on Windows XP up to Windows 11; a portable edition is also available.
