The software has been created as universal program for security hybrid platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal form and functionality on the local and remote computers. Users view MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software via net that security server can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure drastically increases reliability because all units work as independent applications. If one component fails, other modules keep on working. For instance if the `record` part fails, `watchdog` starts again it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` component. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be started by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on remote computer via Web interface. The program does synchronized video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
